To bring about a renaissance of the Jewish people by communicating the beauty and wisdom of Torah in a warm, friendly community where Jews can thrive in their spiritual pursuits.
Our Vision
A vibrant and viable, diverse and loving community where Jews from a range of backgrounds and demographics are consistently growing in their spiritual pursuits and impacting the broader Jewish world. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, he received rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, along with a Master’s degree in Jewish Education from YU’s Azrieli Graduate School and a Master’s degree in Social Work. His training reflects a commitment to Torah learning alongside thoughtful engagement with psychology, mental health, and the complexities of the human condition.

At YI Aish, Rabbi Anderson is known for delivering shiurim that are intellectually rigorous, emotionally attuned, and relevant to contemporary life. He weaves classical Torah sources with modern thought and psychological insight, often exploring themes such as meaning, responsibility, anxiety, OCD, relationships, marriage, and personal growth. Rabbi Anderson’s leadership is marked by accessibility, warmth, and a belief that Torah can support not only religious observance, but emotional health and relational integrity. His background in mental health allows him to approach pastoral and communal concerns with nuance, compassion, and respect for individual complexity.
Together with his wife Rivky, an occupational therapist, and their children Chaya, Shira, Meira, Eliana, and David, Rabbi Anderson is proud to be part of the Las Vegas Jewish community.
